Fighting Crime

February 12, 2018

Since services started in January 2016, crime for the 80 Watt District has decreased significantly. The Sheriff’s Department along with other law enforcement agencies have done a number of stings in the area. The PBID has successfully been working with the Sheriff’s work crew and Wells Sweeping to address trash left by transients. Their cleaning up of homeless sites as well as the streets has proven effective and over the last year they have been able to collect 20 tons of garbage.
